Citrine with its bright and cheery yellows, is a very uplifting stone. but don't let the typical coloring fool you, it can come in dark browns and rusts as well as beige and caramel tones.

Natural citrine is typically a more faded gold color. Most stones you find nowadays are heat treated to enhance the color (the same as amethyst, another quartz type).  Our stones pictured below show a nice variety of citrine colors.

Citrine is well known as "The Merchant Stone". It's one of only a few handfuls to be dubbed with a crystal meaning title.  It is said to bring good fortune to all, but particularly those with businesses. It is traditional to keep a few citrine in a purse, pocket or cash register for this reason (along with garnet). It is perhaps this good fortune that gives increased self esteem to its bearers. Citrine is also known to for inspiring self confidence, as well as abundance of all types.

Citrine, the November birthstone is associated with the Solar plexus chakra. Which is no surprise with its sunny disposition.The Third Chakra is the self power chakra. Self confidence, self discipline and the ability to achieve goals are associated with this chakra.
